Worship Bulletin

Watch on Livestream

We worship on Sunday mornings at 10AM, and most services are between 60-75 minutes. After worship, there are often snacks to be shared and time to get to know folks better. The atmosphere is pretty casual, and you’ll spy a range of fashions—from rainbow sequins and feathers during Pride Season to flannel for most of the fall, winter, and spring. We want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, and might invite you to complete your ensemble with a nametag so that we can greet you!

For many folks, the most memorable parts of our service are the passing of the peace and the prayers of the people.

For many folks, the most memorable parts of our service are the passing of the peace and the prayers of the people.

Because we are such a small community, we have a robust time of greeting one another, and often, almost every person will shake hands, fist-bump, or hug every other person in the room! It’s noisy and joyful and a core part of how we practice being in community together. Our small size is also a blessing during our prayers of the people, a time in the service when folks are invited to share joys and concerns so that we can pray for one another. Folks who are shy about public speaking may jot down requests in the prayer journal near the entrance.

Every Sunday, you can be sure to expect music, scripture, and prayer!

We value creativity in worship. For us, that means incorporating visual art into our slides; creating seasonal art installations; rotating our sung responses often; and regularly scheduling services where the Word is not proclaimed as a sermon, but interactively with storytelling prompts, collaborative art-making, or through music. We also value incorporating social justice themes into everything we do. You’ll often hear scripture read from the Inclusive Language Bible, which uses expansive gendered language to talk about God, and occasionally, from the First Nation’s Translation.

Instead of offering Sunday School during worship, we have dedicated a corner of our space to serve as a Prayground. Here, you’ll find a variety of seating options (from soft couches to rocking chairs), books, children’s Bibles, art supplies, soft toys, building materials, and occasionally, musical instruments. During special seasons of the liturgical year, Advent and Lent, you’ll also find children’s bulletins and coloring sheets that correspond with weekly themes. While squawks, squeals, and joyful (and less joyful) noises are welcome throughout the service, there is a Nursery & Respite room for little ones that need to step out for a few minutes to regulate, or for a nursing break. The bathroom directly outside of the nursery has a changing table.

We believe that children learn how to worship by experiencing the service alongside their families.
