First United is pleased to welcome Music Together to our facility.  This is a highly acclaimed music and movement program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, big kids, and their parents/caregivers.  The classes are taught on Mondays from 6-7 p.m.  If you are interested in enrolling your child, go to www.musicboxarts.com.

A Troy Night Out Event:  Saratoga Soundtrack

You will not want to miss this women's a capella chorus of Saratoga Springs!  This 45-minute concert will feature everything from standards and jazz, to ballads and contemporary songs.  Saratoga Soundtrack is a chartered chorus of Sweet Adelines International.  The concert will be held in the Social Hall, with a suggested donation of $5, and a reception to follow.
 
A Troy Night Out Event:  The Very Scariest Organ Music

This third-annual concert of some seriously spooky music is sure to get you in the mood for the holiday! Featuring J.S. Bach's essential Toccata and Fugue in d minor, plus a thrilling 1-organ, 4-hands transcription of Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, this 30-minute concert is presented by Maury A. Castro and Toddy Sisley. Following the concert, there will be an organ demonstration in the organ loft for those who wish to take a closer look.  Admission is free, with donations accepted.  Sponsored jointly by the American Guild of Organists, Eastern New York Chapter and First United.  Wear your costume!
 
An All-Mendelssohn Choral Concert

Featuring the combined choirs of First Presbyterian Church, Albany, and First United Presbyterian Church, Troy, this concert will include some of Mendelssohn's finest works for chorus.  The two shorter works, Verleih uns Frieden and I Waited for the Lord (from Lobgesang), will be followed by the weighty Lauda Sion, accompanied by chamber ensemble and organ.  Maury A. Castro, conductor; Nancy Frank, organist.  Admission is free with donations accepted.  A reception to follow.
